Super easy Broccoli Bites recipe

I started liking to cook when I realized anyone who has a common sense, who can find the right ingredients and who can follow a recipe can cook.  I look for simple recipes with simple ingredients ... or complicated ones and make it easy. Here's one I just made ... and loved.

Ingredients:
1 broccoli head
1 cauliflower head
3 eggs (small)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup italian bread crumbs (or regular would do)
olive oil
salt and pepper

Just mix everything up and make them into patties and bake for about 30-40 mins. I used my regular sized muffin molds because I suck at making things ... round. I had three of these and I was full! And it takes forever for me to feel even remotely full. If you're on a keto diet you can use corn meal or almond meal instead of bread crumbs. The original recipe only used broccoli and no cauliflower. I saw a lot of recipes using mozzarella and ham, too. If you find it a bit dry you can use cream cheese spread as dip. I tried that and loved it.

What my broccoli bites looked like :-)
I don't take credit for the recipe. This was originally posted by Thin Recipes and I found that off of Pinterest. I just needed to share this because it's super easy to make and IT IS actually GOOD ... even if mine didn't turn out like it did on the photo they posted.

Dear Dunkin' Donuts

I love you, I really do. I will choose your choco butternut over Go Nuts or Krispy Kreme or effing J.CO but this ... this is one of the worst chicken salad croissants I've ever had. First, the bread tasted like it's a week old. It doesn't even look like a croissant. And I know photos on the menu rarely look like the real thing but come on! This is like mayo and cheese and lettuce ... it doesn't taste chicken salad-ish. Where is the chicken?! The mayo is sour like it's a couple seconds from spoiling and the only good thing about it is the lettuce is fresh and crispy. Maybe I should've stuck with the Bunwich. I will go back tomorrow and get one. Please do not disappoint.

P.S. Maybe I should sell you my chicken salad/spread recipe?

Balkan Yugoslavian Home Cooking

I've been to this place three times already. Jesus, they weren't exaggerating on the blog reviews, Balkan's stuffed pljeskavica is to die for! The pattie itself is good (it's chewy with a sausage-ish texture), stuffed with mozzarella and served with a LOT of fries (you can opt for rice). Huge serving so I couldn't order any other so I'll just had to go back for the goulash. I did come back for the goulash and they werent kidding too when  they said it's good for up to 3 people. I had to ask for a doggie bag and ate the left over a couple more times at home lol.

Last time I was there I had goulash and dzigerica (pork liver steak topped with garlic, served with mashed potatos) ... if you havent tried this place you're missing half of your carnivorous existence.

Red Engine Diner at The Columns

Good ribs but for a place that offer steak and ribs, Red Engine does not give you the option to order sides. It would've been better with slaw or spuds but everything comes in a set. So the meat comes with rice, iced tea and garnish (that is 3sticks of carrots and 2sticks of turnip). Cheap, though, and they have good service (no service charge too) so I can't really complain ... much :p
